Thinking of Having Children? Do this 10 step Program First
Lesson 1
A really good way to discover how the nights might feel…
1. Get home from work and immediately begin walking around the living
room from 5PM to 10PM carrying a wet bag weighing approximately 8-12
pounds, with a radio turned to static (or some other obnoxious sound)
playing loudly. (Eat cold food with one hand for dinner).
2. At 10PM, put the bag gently down, set the alarm for midnight, and
go to sleep.
3. Get up at 12 and walk around the living room again, with the bag,
until 1AM.
4. Set the alarm for 3AM.
5. As you can’t get back to sleep, get up at 2AM and make a drink and
watch an infomercial.
6. Go to bed at 2:45AM.
7. Get up at 3AM when the alarm goes off.
8. Sing songs quietly in the dark until 4AM.
9. Get up. Make breakfast. Get ready for work and go to work (work
hard and be productive)
Repeat steps 1-9 each night. Keep this up for 3-5 years.
Look cheerful and together.

Last month I paid $400 for a lawn mower that felt like it was going to break the minute I started using it. I have had several mowers over the years (from a $200 Craftsman to an $800 Honda) and the all stink! In a fit of frustration, I took my “awesome” mower back and bought a non-gas powered reel mower ($130). I have got to say this is the best mower I have ever used. I was able to cut my lawn in less time and best of all, NO GAS!!!!!!!
My wife and I already use washable diapers and we are looking into getting solar panels for our house. My new human powered mower is just one more addition to our green lifestyle.
P.S. For those South Park fans out there, you don’t need to worry about any smug clouds. I still have three gas guzzling cars.

In July, our client, the Denver Botanic Gardens, holds a special annual event called the Birdhaus Bash. The event features birdhouses built by local artists and celebrities that are auctioned off to support Youth Education and Adult Tour Guide programs at the Gardens.
This year, 4 1/2 Indigians built birdhouses to the event. 4 1/2 you ask? Yes, 4 1/2. Birdhouses were donated by myself, Erin Quinn – Director of Sales, Wayne Rodgers – Client Services Coordinator and Mike Minton – Sr. Director of Technology. There are the 4. The 1/2 comes in from Brent Dilworth, who is the husband of Becki Dilworth – Vice President of Client Services. I figured since he is only related to Indigio through marriage, we should only count him as a 1/2, even though his birdhouse already received the most buzz and praise.
It was great fun building my birdhouse to donate to the event and I know Erin, Wayne, Mike & Brent would agree. I included a photo of our bird houses and if you would like to attend the event and buy one of these beauties or one of the other 100 donated, please check out the Gardens’ Web site.

The news has been freaking me out lately. It seems like more people are jumping on the bandwagon of throwing common sense out the door to follow their passion and give the ole heave ho to a little thing I like to call gravity. Read the rest of this entry »
