The Art of Wellness
May 22nd, 2008
In today’s society, food has become overly processed “fast food”. Americans however continue to consume these empty calorie meals as widespread obesity and chronic disease reach record-breaking highs. There is hope! As we focus on becoming more eco friendly with the “Go Green” movement, health and what we put into are bodies is becoming more important as well.
Therefore it was fitting that our May lunch and learn focused on Health and the 4 Steps to Extraordinary Health. With the help of a few close friends of our own Heather Sharp, we had an acupuncturist and nutritionist from the Ancient Art Healing Center, a Littleton based clinic come in to speak about the importance of health and wellness. As specialists in alternative medicine, the lunch was focused on nutrition and how to improve the efficiency at which energy moves through the body. Stress, emotions, and physical injury are only a few of the causes that can disrupt the body. Often times unavoidable disruptions, we CAN control what we put into our bodies to help balance these daily hindrances. In order to achieve the optimal health there are four steps to a healthier YOU:
-
Support Immunity: Acupuncture balances the immune and endocrine system.
-
Nutrition and Detoxification: Eat seasonal organic fruits and vegetables, drink lots of pure mineral water and eliminate refined sugar and processes foods.
-
Supplementation: It is recommended to take the following supplements to increase daily health:A daily Probiotic to promote bacteria in the stomach, Vitamin D, Omega, Aerobic Formula.
-
Feed the Soul through the following:
Network Chiropractic
Massage Therapy
Body Talk

If we can follow these simple steps in ensuring health and wellness and stay away from the proccessed food American’s have come to know and love we can ensure a happier, healthier life free.
