MS Walk 2008

At 6:30 am on Saturday May 3rd, 2008 City Park was bustling with people setting up their tent for the 2008 MS Walk. Although the working hands were near frozen from the chill of the morning the excitement and spirit of the upcoming event was not hindered. Everyone at the Indigio tent was pitching in to get the table and decorations ready for the judges who were going to pick the most festive and best decorated tent of the day. Dale worked his magic on the tent by hanging and draping the tent with Indigo’s colors. Heather, Thomas and Natalie were setting up the table making sure there were waters and food ready for the incoming walkers. Tom was busy taking pictures making sure everything was well documented and recorded. As the rest of the Indigio Inspires team filtered in the tent began to fill up with matching t-shirts smiling faces and eager feet to hit the pavement of City Park.
As a whole the MS Walk was very successful both for the company and as a fund raising event. As a group we raised over $6000 which was $1000 over our original goal. As a company we handed out all of our Indigio Cares bracelets at the event and actually there was a demand for more. Our Indigio tent also won the award of “best decorated tent”.
It was an amazing day overall. We could not have asked for a better day or better people to join us as we walked for MS. Thank you for all that participated and helped out. I hope others enjoyed it as much as I did.
