The Great Rice Krispie Treat War of 2008 Ryan Hadley

April 25th, 2008

The MS Walk 2008 Bake Sale fund raiser is today and the rice krispie war has begun.

The contestants:

  1. Ryan’s AMAZING homemade JUST THIS MORNING white chocolate rice krispie treats
  2. Laurie’s rice krispie treats… with, something about peanut butter… no white chocolate.
  3. Erin’s rice krispie treats.  With stuff on them… and sprinkles maybe. Not made this morning.

So far the standings appear to be 3 – Ryan, 1 – Laurie, 0 – Erin.

Hey…four of my “treats” have already been sold! Also, seeing as I’m in SALES, I don’t think I’ll have a problem selling the rest. So there!

Laurie seems to be murdering the competition. Better rush to get one of hers before they all disappear.

But, I would like to point out that I caught Erin eating a white chocolate one and I believe her EXACT quote was “These are the BEST rice krispie treats EVER. They have just the right amount of white chocolate in them”.

BEST EVER? I don’t know, maybe Scott should weigh in since he told me that your rice krispie treats looked like they had white dog poop from the 70’s in them and he told you he was going to try one!

Well, I should start by saying – I do not have much of a sweet tooth, and generally white chocolate is not my bag. That said – Ryan’s crispy treats, while they do look like the white dog poop from the 70’s, pleased me. Sorry Erin, yours were just a bit too sweet for me. Sadly Laurie’s seemed to sell out before I got there.
