Who Wants To See My Xobni?
March 19th, 2008
What is Xobni? Besides inbox backwards, it is an Microsoft Outlook plug-in that makes email organization a bit friendlier. Check out the demo. It is actually very cool, useful but is in private beta. Even Bill Gates gave it a positive plug recently, which is shocking since his people did not build it.
After waiting about a month, I finally received my invitation last night to join the beta and I really like it. It basically gives you a nice sidebar in Outlook that shows you information about all people you email. When you highlight an email, you see all the previous emails and files exchanged, their phone numbers and address. It also organizes your calendar and to-dos in a nice format, plus shows you who you have not emailed in over a month.
If I was in Sales, this would be a dream plug-in. For me, it is a great when you get an email from a client, you instantly see past email communications instantly without searching. It is brilliant.
Since I am part of the private beta (I sound uber-cool, I know), I am able to send invites to 5 other people to get this. If you are interested, let me know by submitting a comment to the blog. Similar, to what would you for a Klondike bar, I need to know what you would do for Xobni? The 5 best get invites.

Jim – It is not hard to show up becki when it comes to the Macarena. That is easy.

I would be willing to pay you upwards of $11.54 for an invite. Unmarked bills and coins, of course.

This plug-in is awesome! My favorite feature right now… “Documents Exchanged with XXX”, from a project management perspective this is a very handy tool!!

The tools functionality is cool but I am dumping it. It slows down Outlook too much and I occasionally brings it down. Wish I could keep it but it is going.
