In case folks want to further fine tun their list of people to follow, you could always check out Twitter Packs, which lets people list themselves in whatever ways they want to self-identify. : )

Jason Calacanis is essentially using Twitter as a way to recruit users for Mahalo. That in itself is not abuse; but the way he is going about it is. He is trying to bribe his way into the top spot on Twitter by giving away a MacBook Air. Basically, he is manipulating the entire Web 2.0 structure. It’s kinda funny though that during his keynote address at the Affiliate Summit he did nothing but rag on SEO and affiliates that spam to get top positioning. That’s exactly what he is doing now. The only positive thing to come out of it so far is that many of the people on Twitter are disgusted by his behavior and are un-following him. He should NOT be in the top 10.
