January 2008 Peer Award Winners Announced Tom Whittaker

February 27th, 2008

Each month Indigians are encouraged to nominate fellow Indigians for our monthly Peer Award.  This award is for recognizing employees’ contributions, building self-esteem, promoting teamwork and inspiring excellence at Indigio.

I am proud to announce Jim Halligan, our Media Manager and Laurie Halvorsen, our Controller, as the winners for January 2008.  Here are why they were nominated and why they won, in the words of those who nominated each of them:

“From the time I started working here, I have seen Jim in transition. Through all the various transitions Jim has not skipped a beat….In this recent transition from media buying to the entire media department, he has taken over and has become a leader and also a supervisor. He has always worked extremely hard at everything he needs to do all while making everyone around him smile and laugh. He is a great addition to the media team and without him our days at Indigio would feel empty. He truly deserves to be recognized not only for his dedication, but also for his wonderful personality.”

I think this is especially fitting because as an agency, Indigio will always be evolving and in transition.  As the Internet changes, so will Indigio.  As our clients’ needs change, so will Indigio.  Jim is a great example of how it is important to always transition and change as needed.  I could not agree more with Jim winning this award.  Thank you Jim!

“Laurie spent an countless amount of time in January setting up our new time entry/billing system. She knew that a solid transition…was important for Indigio from a financial and long-term strategy, so she made sure this was handled as smoothly as possible. Laurie worked through all the bugs. She set up hundreds of projects and contracts. She did all this while closing the books for 2008 and never once complained.”

Again, I could not think of a more deserving nominee.  She gave 110% and got the job done.  Most of all, she put the needs of every Indigian first to ensure everyone was trained on the new system as quickly as possible.  Great job, Laurie.

I would also like to acknowledge Tim Colburn, Jack Hylton and Sara Pacheco as they received nominations as well.
