IBM Speaker Hosted by CSIA
December 5th, 2007
Tom, Becki and I kicked our day off yesterday by attending the Colorado Technology Association’s monthly program - “Web 2.0 - Global Opportunities for High-Paced Success”. Mike Rhodin, General Manager for IBM/Lotus Software solely presented on this topic, highlighting the newest trends and ways to leverage the online collaboration phenomenon. Mike leads a team at IBM responsible for developing IBM’s collaborative technology and solutions, which integrate people, data and business process to create the “human side” of IBM’s On Demand Strategy. We were anxious to attend this event as it was kind of a continuation to Tim’s Web 2.0 panel that debuted this past September. Mike did a great job covering the subject and drew a large crowd of well over 100 Denver IT professional type attendees. We preferred the panel format with multiple speakers over a single speaker; however, that was just personal preference. As per usual, CSIA did a great job coordinating and hosting the event, and Becki and I look forward to recapping the program w/ CSIA President, Su Hawk, at tomorrow’s Women in IT dinner at Mataam Fez. Oh - and on a side note - the make your own granola parfaits w/ dried fruit topping and latte bar were both a big hit w/ the Indigio attendees. What a nice way to start off our day! Our own hippie VP, Becki Dilworth, jumped right into the action by indulging in her 1st ever granola bar latte. YUM! Thanks CSIA for another informative technology event in the Denver area!
