“White Chrismas” in Denver
November 30th, 2007
Irving Berlin’s “White Christmas” is now playing at the Denver Center of Performing Arts. Now, for all of those who think that musicals and plays are dull and uneventful, this play will blow your socks off. I am commonly one of those people that I just mentioned that can’t enjoy a good musical, but after much debate I decided to buy tickets. I was quite surprised at how much I enjoyed myself. The lead performers were no amateurs. Not only could they sing and dance without skipping a beat but the tap dancing scenes were phenomenal! The performers had you laughing, possibly crying (all the old people that were brought back to memories of their childhood) and your feet just couldn’t stop tapping to the beat to oh so popular songs. And just when I got the wee bit antsy it ended, so it was the perfect length for anyone, like me, who does not normally like musicals.
I would recommend going to see this play before Christmas as it will jump start you into the Christmas spirit. Tickets are inexpensive if you get seats in the Balcony and you can see perfectly. It will be playing at the Denver Center of Performing Arts through December so you have plenty of time to clear you schedule and enjoy a great night out in Denver.
